Happy Birthday Kiara & Kaylie

HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY
opps.....I'm a little late posting this
June 28, 2002 the day after Josh.

Kaylie & Kiara

Kiara Josette 12:01 a.m.

Kaylie Lenore 12:03 a.m.

These two goofy girls came into the world early because Little Kaylies' heart rate went sky high. An emergency c-section ... 10 days in NICU

Now healthy and HAPPY
Praise God!

Kiara is just like her Mom so sometimes I call her Little Keela.

Kaylie told me I can call her Miss Lenore.

Kiara was named after her other Grandmother and Kaylie was named after my Mom.

These two are so much fun to be with. Always happy and smiling.

Kiara (the older sister) sometimes is in charge. A little bit taller than Kaylie. She loves to play the violin and does

a cartwheel when entering the living room.

Kaylie (the baby of the family and plays the part very well). A little bit shorter than Kiara. Loves to take care of her

doll Finn. She has had him for years and we even celebrate his birthday

several times a year.

They are both different and so much alike.

Love you girls. Don't grow up too fast.

Enjoy being 8 years old.

Coulottes, Coulottes and more Coulottes

It's time for Junior Camp at Winkler Road Baptist Church. Emily and Sarah wanted new coulottes to wear. They've grown so much in the last year. Tabitha, Emily, Sarah and I went to the fabric store and they got some to make their coulottes. I love the color choices.

7 Pairs.

Beautiful Sisters

Their Goofy too!!!

Your Welcome girls. I loved sewing them for you.

Thanks for cutting them out for me. :-) you too Tabitha.

Look how tall they are getting.
I love you Emily and Sarah.
Have Fun at Camp.
Make decisions for the Lord.
Remember who you are.
Love you both.

The Way I Start My Day, Psalm 100

Breakfast, mmm, hot tea, fresh orange juice, my glasses, my two phones,
and the most important thing......my Bible.
I like to start my day with God's word.....reading my Bible. Usually I read out on the back patio on my swing. (one of my favorite places). But now days it is way to hot. Sometimes it's 90 degrees by 8:30 so now I read in the kitchen...air conditioned kitchen. :-) I wish I could say that I read it every day but no I'm ashamed to say that I don't. Sometimes I'm to rushed or have company or on vacation or something...but really those are not valid excuses. It should be my top priority...the top of my list....first thing in the morning. Praise God that he is a forgiving God and I can start fresh everyday.

I always read a chapter in Proverbs that coincides with what day it is, like today is June 29th so I read Proverbs 29. It's amazing how when you read each chapter there is something that has to do with what you are going through or speaks to your heart about a certain situation.

Then I read Psalm 100. This is memorized but I always read it. It's one of my favorite chapters in the Bible.

Then I read whatever I am studying for the month. Some years I follow the reading for "Read Through Your Bible in a Year" and I read whatever goes for that day.

Whatever you do, read your Bible....everyday. Get closer to God.

I guarantee your day will go better.

My 2nd Quilt of 2010

This is my second quilt. Not sure who this one is for yet.
I just love picking out a favorite and then matching more fabric.

I started with the lady bug fabric then the polka dot.

After I made the squares I decided to put some sashing between.
That way the blocks will stand out more.

I thought it needed something else so I added strips for the border.

And now it's finished!

The binding is the red polka dot. I love this binding.

And this is the back. I think I will always add a strip or quilt block to the back of the quilt.

And here it is!! I named this one,

"Lady Bug Picnic"

Now we can use it for the bed or take it on a picnic.

Kings Kids Awards Night

Mark and Tabitha are in charge of our Kings Kids Program at Winker Road Baptist Church. I am so proud of the good job they do. They make it fun to memorize scripture and reward the kids for the important things. They have fun games and exciting weekly themes.
In this picture is Mark with the Feed My Lambs group.
Logan Ty Bryce Anna Lauren Carter

This is Taylins' first year teaching the Feed My Lambs group and she is doing a great job and really enjoys it. Patty is the helper.

This is the older kids group. They have completed many books, passed sections and memorized a lot of scripture. Good Job!!

Here are the rest of the leaders and helpers. Keep up the good work. Praying for all of you.

My First Quilt of 2010

I love to quilt. This is the first one I finished for 2010.

I decided to machine quilt it between the stitching.

This is me sewing on the binding. It is so relaxing. Yale and I watch a movie while I'm sewing.
I am so thankful for a supportive husband who encorages my hobby. Thanks Honey.

All finished and on the bed. It's a twin size. This is the back.

This is the back of the quilt.

I love the soft colors.

I finished this one in February 2010.

I named this one "Springtime"

Jonathan's Awards Night

We were beaming with pride at Dunbar High School when Jonathan received his award from Microsoft for completing nine (that's 9) Microsoft Certifications.

Keela with one of her babies. She was one proud Momma. :-)

Look how handsome he is. A nice young man. Wait did I just type man?

We were all cheering for him.

Great job Jonny!!! I know how hard you work. Keep up the good work.
Love you
