Finished Quilts in 2010

I love to make quilts. This year (2010) I wanted to make

all our Granddaughters a quilt to give them for Christmas.

I didn't quite make my goal but will finish soon.

I've posted these but now they are all together.

Not in order.

First quilts to make in 2011 are for Ashly, Katie and Chloe.

Then on the the Grandsons.

I kept quilts #1 & 2.

Quilt #1 "Springtime"

Quilt #2 "Lady Bug Picnic"

Quilt #4 for Little Miss Callie Grace

I had enough for a matching diaper bag too.
Love the soft pinks and whites. Sooo cuddley.

Quilt #3 "Grandma's Flower Garden"

This one is on our bed.

Callie snoozing on her quilt.

Quilt #9 Brenna's "Spunky Greens"

Quilts #8 Sarah's (not named yet)

#10 Emily's "Silly Squares"

Doll quilt

Quilt #7 Kaylie's "Chocolate Dreams"

Quilt #11 Kiara's "Pink-A-licious!"

Quilt # 5 Elisabeth's "Lover of Horses"

Quilt #6 for my Mother "Mothers Flower Garden"

My Mother and Grandmother were both fantastic Quilters.

I think my love for quilting comes from both of them.

My daughter Kami shares the joy of quilting too.

Passing down to generations.

I also made a quilt for my sister Robin for her birthday.

But I have no pictures of that one. When I go up to

visit I will take some.

Christmas Gathering 2010

There's just something special about having all your family together.
This Christmas Kami and family were here to celebrate the Holidays
with all of us. I love it when we're all together. But, I also love
having each individual family over too. This year we got to do both.
Each Family came over so we could enjoy watching our
Grandchildren open their gifts one by one. They were all so excited!!!
I loved every moment. I will post those photos next time.

Kami Taylin Tabitha Keela and I think that's Randy :-)

Keela Kami Tabitha Taylin
I am so thankful that the girls are always willing to help out.
Our sons-in-laws are excellent dish washers too.

Randy taught us a new game to play (some had played it before)
"MAFIA WARS"
We had soooo much fun.
I love how our family plays together and I love how we
all cram into the living room.

Quilting Contest

Yale encouraged me to enter JoAnn Fabrics

Quilting Contest. I know I'm just a beginner

but I was happy that he wanted me to enter.

He gave me some money and said "Go Shopping"

I didn't hesitate. Taylin was going to JoAnn's too

so when we met up together she helped pick out some

really cute fabric. After making the quilt I thought

this looks like a Taylin quilt. I really should have

given it to her since she helped pick out the fabric

but sorry Tay....this one is Emily's.

This is one of the squares. I thought I came up with

this design all myself....I was so proud. Then a few

days later I saw the same pattern in a quilting magazine.

Oh well, it was fun drawing up the pattern anyway.

another square.

Here it is all finished. I didn't realize till I hung

it on the fence that the pink and yellow squares

really stand out and show the pattern.

The instructions called for a close up photo and a

hanging photo of the entire quilt.

Here it is all finished.
I had so much fun entering the contest.
Thanks for the encourgement honey.

I haven't heard any news yet so I

guess I'm not a winner for JoAnns.

But I'm a winner in other ways....

I know Emily will love her new quilt

from Grandma.

Kiara named this one for me

"Silly Squares"

You've heard it before so while you're reading it just hmmm along.

For we have this moment

to hold in our hands

and to touch

as it slips through our fingers like sand

Yesterdays gone

and Tomorrow may never come

But we have this moment Today

Love you all

Happy 90th Birthday June

We celebrated June's 90th Birthday Party
with family and friends and we had a
great time.
Here she is with 9 of her 10 Grandchildren.
Tabitha is missing. She and Mark had to take
Ty to the emergency room for an eye
infection and they had to miss the party.
They stopped by at the end to say Happy Birthday
Grandma June.

Birthday cake made by
Elisabeth and Brenna aka "Biz.E.B. Bakery"
They did a fantastic job on the cake and it was
Delicious.
Made in Grandma's favorite color....Purple.

Grandma June with her
Great Grandchildren
missing in the photo.....Ty & Sophia

This is the whole group.
Missing Tabitha, Mark and Ty
maybe we should photoshop them in. :-)
We had a great time at the party.
I praise the Lord for my Mother-in-law.
I often hear of others complaining about
their Mother-in-law and I am so blessed
to have June as mine. We always have a good
time together, especially at Hobby.
Love sitting with her at church.
